Our Design Process:
From the first stone cut to the finished product, all production is executed in Boulder Colorado. We commit ourselves to manufacturing all of our jewelry with high quality craftsmanship, technical know-how, innovation and competence, as well as aesthetic values.
High In The Rockies aims to produce the highest quality jewelry, and in doing so, we create long-lasting products. Creating products that aren’t being disposed of or replaced every season, is at the core of our sustainability journey.
The Carico Lake color palette ranges from the highly unique electric greens to sky blue; from teal to mossy, earthy greens. And rarely, a nugget with both earth and sky color. The highest grade Carico Lake Turquoise is a gem quality American turquoise. Hard enough to be cut naturally, the high zinc content paints the stone an astonishing lime green color with a unique spider web matrix, creating a much sought after and collectible stone. The color is due to its zinc and copper content. Carico Lake stones can also display a dark blue-green color with a black spider web matrix. Recent finds are producing many new blue tones with even, black matrix. The colors and scarcity of Carico Lake turquoise make it a valuable addition to any collection. The Carico Lake mine also hosts another precious stone, faustite, which features a bright lime green color due to its higher zinc content.
